Why Mechanical?
Traditional everyday keyboards typically use a rubber ‘membrane’ as the mechanism for actuation when a key is pressed. This method results in cheaper costs for manufacturers, but a worse typing experience for the user. You may notice a traditional keyboard rattling with lose keys and sloppy precision.
Mechanical keyboards use a spring loaded ‘switch’ as the mechanism for actuation. This allows the key press to be consistent and customized. If you’ve never felt a switch, the mechanical action is similar to a click-style pen. The feeling and sound can be tuned to your personal liking.
What is modding?
It’s about the sound and the feel! There are various type of modifications that can be done to a mechanical keyboard that will change the sound profile or feel of the keypress. Some mods are easier to apply than others, and offer different results. There are even modifications to change whole the shape of the keyboard. Whatever your style, there are mods that will suit your preference.

I’ll help guide your decisions through every step of the process, from picking the right base keyboard for your needs, selecting which Mods to apply, which keycaps to use, and more. We’ll get into the nitty-gritty details during a consultation, so you have something completely of your own design.
The final price of your custom keyboard will only include the cost of the keyboard, whichever mod package(s) you choose, and shipping. I won’t charge for mod materials* or an hourly rate.
